  1. there is far too much contained herein for me to even begin to respond appropriately

maybe I just wanted to say that I heard you, and someday, when I’m more ready to listen to more, I’ll be back to pick up the discussion. for now, the one thing that caught my focus is that each and every one of us is one. a zoanthrope. and if that is true, (and I believe it to be so), then I don’t know how to reconcile that we are also eligible for the gift of believing.

I’ve been a believer, and I’ve been someone who has lost their ability to believe.

both are true, and both are the pure essence of who I am, or who I am becoming.

for now, for today, I happened to be engaged in the process of writing, (ironically about truth, and all those gray areas in-between), and as much as I would love to delve into a complicated conversation about what you’ve written (so beautifully, and with such authenticity and articulation), for now, for today, I have to step away. but your words will stay with me, and I’ll most likely be back again to visit them soon. I truly appreciate when you open the discussion, so thank you for that. in some ways, it feels like someone was finally brave enough to write something that is true, and nothing gets to me more than the truth.

whatever that means to me, or to you, or to anyone reading

    🙂

    • Gracious! What an amazing response to a simple post. Your letter intrigues me, piques my curiosity. I obviously conceived of zoanthropy here, simply, as a good metaphor for any number of ways that we see ourselves differently than others see us, and that these differences in perception are bound in turn to affect, and be affected by, our beliefs—whether religious, political, scientific, social or any other sort. I hope life is treating you well these days, whatever and whomever you consider yourself at the moment, whereas I’m mostly thinking myself somewhere between the proverbial headless chicken and a slightly-behind-the-eight-ball entrepreneur! Hugs.

      • My Zoanthrope comment above was intended for the Fixity post, although, obviously, it was also pertaining to the Zoanthrope artwork, as well. Not sure how I managed to attach the comment to the Zoanthrope, versus Fixiity, but either way, your Fixity post, although brief, gave me a lot to think about. And the Zoanthrope artwork and prose was a perfect accompaniment.

I’m going to jump over to Fixity to continue.
