The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 22,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 8 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

I love mind-bending comparisons like this. How many Olympic swimming pools would the viewers fill if they packed in very closely, one layer only, I wonder? And if you laid them end to end, how far across the globe would they reach? And how often would they get stepped on and run over?
Now you’ve got me wondering what would happen if an Olympic swimming pool’s worth of viewers could swim in total synchrony…would they travel farther and faster around the globe thanks to their combined strength and skill, or would they tire and sink faster due to their combined weight and breadth and confinement? And would it make a good movie of the week?
The possibilities are limitless…..
Oh, and we’ll share the royalties, right?
Natcherly. 😀
