  1. Oooooh! When I was a kid in grade school art class, we would take crayolas of every hue and cover a piece of paper with color patches. Then, we would color over it all with black crayon. THEN, we would take something sharp – maybe a paperclip, or a corner of a plastic ruler, whatever – and draw our designs on the paper. The lines would cut through the black and reveal the color beneath. It was magic!

    I’ve not thought about that in decades – until I saw these marvelous images.

    • I loved that technique too! I guess I must’ve been channeling it when I did these digital versions. Now I’m going to have to hunt up my crayons and get back to the real thing. 😀
