Oooooh! When I was a kid in grade school art class, we would take crayolas of every hue and cover a piece of paper with color patches. Then, we would color over it all with black crayon. THEN, we would take something sharp – maybe a paperclip, or a corner of a plastic ruler, whatever – and draw our designs on the paper. The lines would cut through the black and reveal the color beneath. It was magic!
I’ve not thought about that in decades – until I saw these marvelous images.
I loved that technique too! I guess I must’ve been channeling it when I did these digital versions. Now I’m going to have to hunt up my crayons and get back to the real thing. 😀
Fruit behaving badly, a problem of the Ages. Didn’t Plato mention this as a problem in his day?
Why, the naughty stuff just danced right off his plate-oh.
I can’t even begin to top Mr. Bartolini’s quip…so, I’ll just say “Cool!”
I need more coffee….
You do know that the caffeine increases your chances of catching inanimate objects in the act, no?

Beautiful artworks…
Thankee, darlin’. I will undoubtedly monkey around with this style some more–it’s fun. 🙂
Splendidly delicious to the eye and spirit, Kathryn!
Playtime is so good for my soul, I can hardly blame the fruits if they want to play, too, can I!
