Stars, sun, comets, moon and planets; rain and lightning, clouds and mist;
Birds and butterflies and rainbows; dragonflies by morning kissed:
What a sparkling declaration of the minutes passing by,
What a joy, this constellation of sweet treasures in the sky!
Though I hunger in the silence of shut-in days, sleeping, blind,
I keep constantly the radiance of these jewels in my mind,
Hoping, dreaming, moving, soaring–real, or the internal, eye
Loves the beauties so alluring of sweet treasures in the sky!
Indeed they are jewels and treasures! š
And aren’t we blessed to have them in our world, just lying all over the place for our pleasure! š
Beautiful poem, lovely expression. I also like you enjoy these lovely treasures of the sky mostly in my dreams. Thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Thanks for sharing with us.
Dreams are such a joy and blessing when they have such wonders in them!
Me, too!
Welcome aboard as always, Dennis!
For tripping the sky fantastic you might appreciate hubblesite.org, spectacular for the “treasures” you poetically describe in “Sky Candy”…
You may remember the post a while back (https://kiwsparks.wordpress.com/2012/06/02/the-large-and-the-small-of-it/) when I mentioned Richard’s space-concept concert and my projected images prepared for it–that was my main introduction to the Hubble spectacular and yes, it is not only appreciable but rather addictive. I spent many a day glued to the sky, so to speak, while developing that and continue to revisit for happy refreshment. You are so right: spectacular!
Amazing and Thank you for writing which is quite good and best wishes always, and greetings
Thank you, too, my kind friend! I appreciate your coming by here and offering gracious words of support. You are a blessing; be blessed!
